Due to a painting progect, I've recently become obsessed with drawing in the Ukiyo-e style~ I find that it's absolutly gorgeous and fluid.
More than that, I found out that I've been having a lot of fun picking out appropriate anime characters and drawing them in said style. (I'm happy to say that I've seen someone else do this too~ With Neji.

I want to try and find the link to it so everyone can see!)
This one is supposed to be of Himura Kenshin (the anime one, obviously)~ Though he doesn't have his cross-shaped scar. .____. I think I may have left it out so that it wouldn't have been outlined in black, if I ever wanted to color this~
I didn't mean for this to be a serious picture, since I'm usually so bad at drawing with ink~ But I actually like how it turned out, in the end. ^__^
Unfortunatly, this is the only Ukiyo-e picture that I've done so far that's small enough to scan. (I'll have to take pictures of the others later) And I drew it at work, so I didn't have any decent paper (you can see the text from the other side). Hopefully I'll be able to post those soon. And maybe some that are painted, as well!
I dunno who anime Kenshi belongs to, but he's not mine~

I'm very impressed...while I don't care for anime at all, I just love the older, traditional Japanese painting styles and I think you did great with this.

Looks like you had something on the back of the page, though!

I kind of dig the ukiyo-e style as well.

I must say how very cool and awesome this looks.
Normally this type of style doesn't really get to me... but this picture did.
