He's from a very wealthy Civilized family, so he's a real cocky brat. Unlike most Civilized kids, he actually has the nerve to go out into the wilderness and pick on the un-Civilized Najre. "Pick on" meaning "steal things from", that is. Unfortunately for him, there are bands of Najre that like to cause mischief for the Civilized as well.

] His name means "falling star". For whatever reason, wealthy Civilized families like to name their children after things in the sky. His father's name is Kanro (Moon) and his mother's is Rhaikima (their name for Mars).
