This is the version of Doctor Light I'm using for my webcomic. He's a bit rough, and totally different from the Dr. Light most Megaman fans are used to. This one is young, tough, and not to be pushed around. He's 32 years of age and in great shape for a shut-in scientist. Then again, lifting so many heavy things in that lab can give you a workout.

He is balb becuase as a scientist he has little time for grooming, so he has shaven his head and applies a drug that prevents hair growth every few days.

I know, this sketch is way rough, but its the best I can do on short notice. I'm lacking ALL of my usual art supplies, so I'm working with a basic #2 penicil with a SHITTY eraser. And I didn't have the time to really go through in Photoshop and clean him up. I'll do that tomorrow and re-submit.

Critics welcome! I know theres plenty wrong with him, so start shooting! I wanna know what I can do to improve him and my drawing in general.

Okie, leeeemmme see how I can help. It's a good drawing overall but it DOES have some noticable flaws. Don't be offended, after all you asked for a critic DX; I know I'm not a good critic, but hopefully this will help a little.

Okay the head could stand to be a little larger in accordance with the shoulders. Right now, with the width of the shoulders and torso, his head looks smaller than it's supposed to be. The face anatomy looks fine. You can tell a lot about a persons age from their face, and he DOES look 32 in that.

KAY the shoulders and torso width... are bugging me like hell. The right arm and shoulder (our right if we were standing in the same direction he is) should be closer to the body, otherwise it looks sort-of disconnected. The arm also is way too short, if he were to put his hand up to his face, it wouldn't reach at the joint you have specified. Make the arm longer from the elbow. Otherwise the shoulders look fine, especially if he is a muscular guy.

The hand is.. well wrong. I'm no expert at drawing hands, but hands on the human body reach to mid thigh, ending at the finger tips. In a way you DO have it correct because his knees are short, but this also implies that he is VERY short.

The folds on his arms are wrong. Folds typically occur at the joints, and at concave points in the arm if the sleeve is poofy or wide (the same thing applies for the waist). If his sleeves are supposed to be thin (making his arms muscular) then the elbow would be more defined, which it should be anyway. The more muscular is the less folds you'll see because you'll want to focus more on actually showing the muscular side. This implies that his arms and legs would be bulky, more rounded with several convex-to-concave points.

The legs, in my opinion seem fine except for the fact that he looks short. I don't know if you intended it to be that way or not.

Here's a few tips that have helped me in figure drawing (well mostly, I'm still working on it as you can tell )
1. The average male is 8 heads tall. The average female is 7.5 heads tall. Draw a 8 inch line (if you want a standard male) on a piece of paper. Each head is 1 inch.
2. The first inch is the top of the skull. Hair would be above this line.
3. The second inch is for the bottom of the chin and beginning of neck (you'd only see the sides if he was looking forward).
3.5. Midway into inch 3 would be his shoulders.
4. Directly across the middle of the chest.
5. Waist, naval, elbows.
6. Fingertips (mid-thigh).
7. Bottom of knee
8. Ankles
8.5. Largest toe

Another book that's helped me a LOT, is called "The idiots guide to drawing Manga," which is about 14$ on Amazon. It has a lot of tutorials for male and female bodies, expressions, hair, animals, mechs and buildings.

It also helps a TON if you draw out the skeleton of the person before it, or if you need advance reference, the muscular parts as well. As far as faces go, I'd say you have placement down pretty pact.

Hope that wasn't too harsh D= Bella is just trying to help chu Tobikins

pretty down pact*** YAY FOR BEING TIRED AS HELL.

Very nice, the arms and neck might be needed to be inproved but it looks like you have a paragraph of critique there.
