A Promo to...Something...

Their relationship began at age 5, where children are at the stage of screaming, "cooties!" and throwing dirt at the next member of the opposite sex that they see. Sometimes, a fight breaks out and ends when somebody cries and runs away. Other times, a worthy adversary is recognized and a long-standing feud will develop.

Toby, meet Clara. Clara, Toby. You two are going to be at this for a long time.

Their methods of warfare evolved with their age. Chasing one another around the playground in the early years of elementary school; later on they'd figure out how to catch each other, by tackling into the dirt. All-out hitting, kicking, hair-pulling, and biting on occasion erupted in sixth grade.

Then in middle school, the use of verbal warfare was discovered.
