I had no muse anymore since my daily visitor is not coming any more, I am somewhat worried about the young raven, but still hope that he is alive and well. My friends and I named him Razul which we thought it would fit him. I took some time to finish the head of this one, because I felt that this has to be finished somehow, in a kind of memory for Razul. Many of you know there has been much more, perhaps I am going to finish these parts in time, but for now this one is finished. Due my lack of muse this one is sloppy and not one of my best...

This one is a young common raven.
german: Kolkrabe (lat. Corvus Corax, engl. common raven)
Done in graphite 9B, a brush for blending the background

the end... for now.

I still hope to see him again, sitting on the tree near my balcony and watching me with watchful eyes....

Soooooo coooooool I just love birds! Reminds me about me character's demon crow. But it looks more like my raven bird pet where I live. It can speak But he is not very clean lol We did rescue it from a car accident

Phaena Says:

Lovely detail, you seem to have caught his personnality in this drawing. The eye is amazing, I love how you managed to make Kazul look curious. I do hope he will come visit you again, and bring the muse with him, hiden within thos watchful, beautiful eyes.

Amazing.

Wow this is so beautiful. Wonderful details. And the little guy is SO cute! I love the little eye. Makes him look curious and innocent. I hope he's OK too!

Minstrel Ayreon Says:

There's nothing wrong with letting a drawing take on a slightly looser look to it...sometimes it can be nice to see something that's not completely photo-realistic.

I love the texture the feathers seem to have...I bet they would be very soft to the touch. They look like it, anyway!
