Cow's best friends

This is the fruit of several several hours of labor. I don't rush my art, but it doesn't usually take me this long to do. I wish I'd timed myself but I probably spent 2 hours actually drawing and inking it, and I'd guess another 12-15 coloring it. YES I cheaped out with the background. But honestly the reason I just copied a shot was because I couldn't do any better "painting" one.

So. This is my first official colored, complete work using the tablet that the oh so freakin awesome =Refleximage gave me. I will probably thank you every day for the rest of my life for this, as well. Maybe not out loud but on the inside!

Anyway, here's what's goin on, as copied from my LJ preview.


Pen, chillin with Cleric (the cat) and my new owl that I decided (after some deliberation) to name Anathema.

I don't play on an RP server by any means, but I still imagine my characters would have certain personalities. Penelopi I've always seen as a loner. Maybe it does have something to do with the fact that I never played with other people with her. She's the quiet type, but very sweet natured. She is a really fierce fighter. The type that you don't even want to see angry, much less being on her bad side. Obviously, she's Tauren, therefore Horde. She doesn't necessarily hate Alliance, but she doesn't like them either. It's really hard to get along with people that have done nothing but hate you for no other reason than you're a cow. She's got a super strong bond with her pets. You'd have to when your life depends on them, though.

Cleric is a black lion. (rowr) I really just like that name so... yah. He's really got your stereotypical "devoted dog" type of personality.

Anathema is the white owl. I really just think that "anathema" is one of the coolest words ever. But the definition in the literal sense has such a negative connotation. And since she really is kind of a pure being in my mind, I wondered if I should find a different name. In the end, obviously, I chose to go ahead with the name. When I looked up some more information about the word, I found it can also mean "to bring destruction". Which this birdy does. She's no less willing to give her life for Penelopi's if it comes to it, but she's got her own sense of purpose she thinks of as higher than anyone else's. She's very.... aloof.

So yeah that's the super way too detailed and pointless description of my WoW character. ....
