Fireplace Memories:

A cozy fire on a chilly winter night

In my favorite chair, I read, write and watch

As the flames dance high

Brightening the room, mesmerizing me

The shadows on the wall dance and glide

O sit and silently recall all my yesterdays of playing in the snow and watching it fall to the ground.

All the people I have met

They merry winter moments I could not forget

I dream before the fireplace

And slowly close my eyes to sleep
