1. In China, dogs are raised and sold for their fur and meat.

In lots of Western countries, cows are raised and sold for their skin and meat.

8. Each year, an estimated 27 million animals in the U.S. are used in research, testing, and education. Over 2 million ani¬mals are killed in dissection classes.

No they're not, or that would be vivisection.

13. In China, cats and dogs are skinned for their fur, and their fur is shipped all over the world.

I have a big problem with people saying things like this. It's cultral; I don't see you saying the same about sheep.

17. Jack Russell terriers are among the more common "meat dogs".

Just because we see them as pets doesn't mean other people don't see a meal; someone down the road from me keeps chickens as pets.

20. The largest source of female hormone replacement therapy (HRT) medications comes from pregnant mares' urine.

Well the mares aren't using it, are they?

25. Billions of our tax dollars and charitable donations are given to research facilities where animals are tormented.

You say tormented, but for what purpose? Save my granny...not lab rats.

Anyway. Nice piece, and I agree with most of it. The stuff I don't agree with is up there. ^^

Debate with me. Rawr.
