Trying something a little different... I couldn't think of a title, but it looks like one of those drawings where you use a poetic quote as the title. Most of the people I showed this to didn't like it.

Basically, I drew this so I could practice muscle shading AND NO, IT'S NOT AN ALIEN.

It DOES have an alien appearance though.

RCGD Says:

I actually do like this. It's abstract but not. I also love the obscure scaling up the image.
Great job, in my opinion.

I really liked how angular she is, but yet, still looks organic. Nice colors, too. :)

th1rt3en Says:

i love how you did the eye and the lips. The "shine" on them is great! =D

Kwana Says:

It is very different to what you normally do. It's pretty cool though. I still believe you have an amazing eye for colour.

Rennifer Says:

It's abstract, but if you were going for realism I've got some comments. The muscle shading is nice enough, but for some reason the actual placement of the muscles looks off.

I'M FAVING!!!

It kinda scares me.

DarkSerena Says:

I agree with th1rt3en, I love the shine on the lips and eyes. It adds a full, round feel to them.

But the light source seems too soft IMO, and perhaps a little inconsistant as well. Some places it seems like the light is coming from the front (from where we are standing), such as the highlights on the eyes and the lips and the shading on the collarbones. But on the face overall and the abdomen, the light source seems to come more from the right. Perhaps you chose two light sources, but I think that for that to be more successful, you would have to enhance them some.

I'm not the greatest at sticking to a light source so I'm not much help on improvement in that area, but those are my thoughts!
