"Have you heard? That Aika girl's going out with Kaji!" Another gossip whisper. Aika stopped, hurt. She wished they would stop. Besides, she wasn't even interested in Kaji! Or guys in general, for that matter...
"Maybe we shouldn't talk about this anymore..." the girl next to Gossip Girl complained, peeking over her shoulder as she saw Tsumetai heading over. "Satomi..."
Satomi only shook her head. "I heard they've already gone on tons of dates--"
Tsumetai appeared behind Satomi, apparently furious about one thing or another. "And if she has, Satomi? What difference does it make?" the girl demanded, her green eyes ablaze.
Satomi's friend sighed and Satomi herself blinked, confused.
Aika gulped, her cheeks tinting pink. ...huh? she thought, her eyes widening. The girl she had a crush on, the girl who barely knew her name...was sticking up for her?
