So my scanner killed the shading....again! *sigh* Oh well no problem I guess.
Regardless, onto the picture. Not exactly how I intended it to turn out....you could call this a frustration drawing. The colours just look wrong for some reason even if they don't clash....maybe its just me a red characters? Well this is Anna, she is bit of a warrior at heart and loves a good tustle or scrap. Mind you, when she comes armed with a 3 foot extendable naginata there aren't many takers.
She's part of Links' family, a cousin actually. I had intended to give her a very large plait....but it didn't turn out that way. Why? Two reasons, firstly it would interfere with the pose...she'd be more likely to cut it off....and second....wqell I can't draw plaits for toffee!

If you have Photoshop, you can fix what the scanner mauls with the 'auto contrast' command. ( or you can fix the contrast manually. )

There's actually "fade correct" in PSP8. Adjust>Color Balance>Fade Correction
; The color scheme could use some work. More or less, I'll just complain about the yellows and the extra red on her jacket which she didn't really need since her fur is already red as can be. Overall though, I'm not entirely sure what color scheme you could give her that would work. Blah.
I use it all the time when I scan things in, although my coloring gets butchered, regardless. Blah. I'm thinking of trying the other scanner at home. Either way.
The bra on a 30-40 year old gal like that kind of scares me. But seeing as she looks more like she's in her 20's, it could probably be ignored unless you know her real age. Then, yeah.
I mean she looks okay and the pose is somewhat different compared to a typical 'stand there and say hi' one. And you're getting better at shading. But yeah, she does need work.
