I had art block the other day. My cure for art block is doing something you've never done before.
I've never done a character actually interacting with a background before.
But now I have.
Yeah o.o This took a really long time. I know there's some perspective problems (like, a lot) but...just leave em alone. I didn't even know I could draw boats til 3 days ago.
If you want art like this but don't happen to be my good friend who happens to be online when I'm struck with lack of creativity, you should totally commission me so I can pay for my prom dress o.o; Please?

Might I make a suggestion though? For all the work and dimensionality you've put into it, the boat is coming across as a flat form. I'm not entirely sure how you could work with it, as you've probably already put in hours of labour, but maybe having the shadows of the ropes cast across the deck would help.
