The coloring actually looks pretty good to me. I admit, I like your CG much better, but it still looks good in its own way. It's just a different kind of style.

That's exactly the same with me! when I try to paint with oils or acrylics, it just goes wrrrrooonggg I think it's because I can't be precise D: I still love your watercolour style, though
Wow, am I seeing traditional artwork from you? *its amaazing* =D lol actually I don't think you did half bad, I really like how you painted the face n' hair and hat hum I think if you practiced at it a little bit you could get really good with watercolors too :3, its not like you got super good with cg in one try, right? ^^'
