Well here we go with another one of my arrangements, based entirely on a few instruments. The piano is backed by a string section and also a choir section (at the last part to give it some build up).
This is based on the Elton John version of the song (i.e. not the one which featured in the film), but it's pretty similar in terms of chords.
As always, the parts are performed live, comments are always welcome and appreciated.

Pretty good. Pretty damn good. The and is really cool. (from about 3:30 on) I also love the bassy strings (I think) like the part at 2:27 for example. The whole song is good, but those parts stuck out to me. Nice job, as always.

Now if you hadn't said this was a remake then i would have absolutely loved the piano and chorus and the just the over all feel of the song, but when it comes to that particular song i just feel that it's the vocals that really make it. I would like this song as another easy listening song but it just doesn't convey the same feeling as the original does. :( Good for easy listening though

very calming. i like it better instrumental, since the "Lion King chanting" pisses me off. (i've had peers attempt to sing that part all too many times.)
