A dark shadow has befallen me
In pain and anguish I must be
Alone with my thoughts, lost and scared
I never knew I'd face this unprepared
Voices chanting; a song unheard
I shake and tremble whilst others unnerved
I crouch in a corner, knees to my chest
I see the faces of those unrest
I scream but no sound; how can this be
I am frozen, alarmed, but the world keeps spinning
I search for a face...-of my beloved
But all I see are shadows, thick as mud
I try to remember, I try to see
The face of my lover; who is he
The world is spinning yet I don't move at all
The shadows, they bind me; a dark, gloomy wall
A bell tolls loudly, tears blur my sight
A voice is calling; it reaches midnight
There's nothing more that I can do
But to sit here under this blackened hue
And await for someone...-something to rise
And illumine a path before my eyes
But all hope, all joy, all trust grows thin
Could I ever be the same again?
My body is shaking, my breath, eerily visible
My mind begins to think the unthinkable
Hands, cold as ice, like death, take hold
And pull me down into horrors untold...
