Titanic

One thing
We don't know why
It didn't even matter how hard he tried
Keep that in mind
The ship was designed
To not be able to sink.
All we know
The date was 1912
From Britain did they sail
They watched it sink 'til beginning of day
The water took life away
It must have felt so unreal
The passangers yelled "Look out below!"
Some even dove right out the window
Children held on
To the life they didn't know
But wasted it all just to
Watch their parents go
People got locked inside
And even though they tried
The ship fell apart
What it was meant to be
Would be but a memory
Of a time

Chorus:
They tried so hard
To get away
But in the water
Is where many died
A lot did fall
They lost it all
But in the future
Survivors told all

Bridge:
The iceberg hit the ship
Tore a hole in the engine room
For all that
There's only one thing we can say!!

this is a "ballad" we did in 6th grade. [] We had to re-write an event that occured in history to the tune of an existing song or your own. We chose the Titanic and did it to the tune of In The End by Linkin Park [] Enjoy!!
