The Raven: Origins
The Raven: Origins
Once upon a midnight dreary while I sat in darkness, merely
Sittin in the cage I'd been in sinve long before
In the cage upon the cask deep in thought, I sought to ask
But never would I dare to ask the master what I'd been meant for
Suddenly I heard a tapping as of bone so gently rapping
As of bone so faintly tapping, tapping on the cold stone floor
'Tis the master!' thought I quickly, 'Coming from behind the door!
'Tis the master coming from his world beneath the floor!'
This it was and nothing more
'Go above' he said to me, 'and find the one most unhappy
'And when you find this man for me, simply tell him "Nevermore"
'And when he asks of lost Lenore, simply tell him "Nevermore"'
Much I was what Satan meant when up above to earth I went
What exactly had he meant in simply saying 'Nevermore'?
As I flew near to the house, I saw a maiden in white blouse
Twas a spirit at the house, tapping at the large oak door
Open here was flung the door, Darkness there and nothing more
To the window then I fluttered and I tapped upon the shutter
When it opened, in I fluttered and I perched above the door
Perched and sat and nothing more...

Wow, wow, and wow. You are amazing! No joke! By the way, are you better yet? Are you well enough to come to school on Monday? Nice icon.

Very well done. There are a few bits that don't flow as well in comparison to the other bits of the poem, but other than that - great job! I never would have thought of an idea such as this!
