100% keyboard. This is only the beginning showing off the smoother piano part of the main melody.
The full version, which will be available on CD only, will continue this piece with a deep bass background with random noises on which you can hear a few orcs talking, then the atmosphere will unstress a bit and I will start singing, followed by a fully orchestrated epic metal part fading in.
The song will be around 10mins long, set to 5.1 surround, and will contain a much more elaborated choir.
As for this sample, here are the sounds I used on my keyboard:
000- Stereo Grand Piano
147- Stereo Strings
150- Chamber
172- Synth-Choir
187- Trombone
194- Trumpet 1
236- Pure Flute
561- Octave Strings
PS: Forgive the fuzzyness at the build-up part, the song's high resolution caused it. It'll be fixed in the CD version.

Enrapturing and beautiful is all I can really say on this piece...you really have oudone yourself on this with the piano and the other insturments. Excellent use of the chiore to back up the pinao so quietly and softly. I cannot wait to hear the completed version with all the bells and whistles.

Great piece. I see what you mean by the build-up. I've had that happen on a few tunes. The way I managed to get around that was by lowering the overall levels of the strings, and upping level of the high frequencies. It has the result of bringing a bit more clarity to the strings. Just a suggestion - you may or may not like that result.

Nicely played, you did well to keep both the left and right hand steady. Couple of suggestions, it would fill it out nicely at some points with some swells on the wind chimes (eg, when you approach 0:50 and just before 1:20 when it switches to the next section.) But nothing too much, it has a nice gentle touch to it and you don't want to over do it. Well done on the solo piano section near the end, nicely played, good control of velocity, however, try playing the melody an octave higher, that way you can distinguish the melody easier if it's more seperated from the lower region (left hand), give it a shot and see what you think. Hope this helps and keep up the good work!
