Just a quick scene I wanted to make as I made the tree and chest objects recently. Foreground and objects are 3D, the background was in sunny Malia when I was out there last year! I wanted a strong light source for this pic.
Edit - based on LtKrogoth's shadow suggestion and fixed the bg so it's a horizontal. It was at a funny angle on the first submission.
Edit Sun 28th Jan - Got round to making some fixes based on peoples feedback, so thanks for that! I also tweaked the lighting a bit. I'm done with this image, moving unto other stuff.

hey, the palm looks very nice! shadows looks a little bit to hard i think,
i would made it a little bit smoother for the final rendering :)

Somehow the box does not seem to actually be there. It really looks... computerish? The picture is other wise very good!
Say that's a pretty good 3D image guy.

Nice.

It's nice! I do have some crits. The palm leaves seem a bit fuzzy and it'd be nice if you could make them better quality. I also think there should be some dirt buildup around the chest where it's sticking out, right now it's just stuck perfectly in a perfectly curved ground with no breaks or cracks and realistically this would not occur.

Looks awesome! I really like the 3D textures here, they look realistic but at the same time have this nice Photoshoppy texture, especially on that sand. I especially like the leaves and how feathery they look too. Nice one =D
