Rianthe

A character from a story I started this summer...never finished it...but I really like it so I'll probably try harder on it than most of my others...

It's based in a kinda middle-earth type of land, where tribes of peoples roam around through the seasons. Each midwinter and midsummer many of the tribes gather at special places(usually historically significant) for festivals. For months at a time each tribe will live in a certain area, some areas are closer to other tribes for a time, some are extremely remote. Rianthe is a Gifted. She was born with Earth powers, like the ability to morph in to different forms of anthro fox. She can morph from a completely fox state to anything between to a completely human state. She also has healing abilities, empathy, the ability to sense auras(or energy in particular), and several Nature based gifts. She pulls her strength from Life and the Earth, drawing energy from the living things and the power beneath the Earth's surface. Her main Gifts of Healing and Empathy are often used in her tribe during harsh seasons and wartime. She's an amazing hunter, often roaming off into the woods for weeks, sometimes months at a time; being able to live off of the wild around you can really come in handy:). One of her favorite past times is ranging, where she turns her lower half to fox and runs wild with her bow and arrow; she loves to sneak up on her tribes hunting parties and give them a good scare.^^ She loves the night, and is often found staring up at the stars and moon with a forlorn look upon her face. In the story I started last summer, she had met a young Gifted man from another tribe at the spring equinox celebration. He is a warrior of sorts, able to morph into a wolf form. His Gifts are often more animal; strength, agility, hunting and fighting. As empathetic as he can be he is also heavily influenced by his somewhat brutal animal instincts. Thye become lovers of a sort, but are forced apart when their tribes move onto their summer lands...
