DreadFish Chronicals: Journal of a Doctor 5

Journal of a Doctor

Legna enter his office chuckling at the latest news he happen to over hear after coming back from a 'check up' performed by Jenny. He then sat at his desk and pulled out his journal, deciding to add a lock to the book he pulled out the key and open the latch. He grabbed a pen and started to write, a small smile on his face as he did.

Journal Entry 31

Well it turned out our war chief's suit was destroyed by an Elite. Surprisingly it pleased me when I over heard her as she shouted it out what happened. What struck me as odd when High Commander spat out the name of the Elite like it was poison. Who ever this "Aurora" she causes Ota to get very pissed off. The Swordfish still perplex me, mostly the elites and the powers they posses; scares me into praying I never have to see one if I ever go back to the field of battle.
I'm still sadden by the lack of medics that follow their oath as I have. One that particularly worries me is the newest medic I recruited. She lost an eye due to her father's action and is actually trying to find it. She is surprisingly good in her work, yet fights like she is possessed. Hopefully I the newest project I'm working on would help her and our forces greatly.
I soon plan to present Ota with biological enhancement for our soldiers and wounded. Eyes that have infer-red and zooming capabilities, arms that are much stronger and project hidden blades or guns surgical added into the flesh, all around tougher skin that would cause even the sharpest of blades to keep from slicing them in half should they cut through the armor; these are just a few of the ideas I have proven effective.
I haven't brought it up cause I was afraid the high commander would use are own men before I was sure there would be minimum draw backs. So I secretly experimented on lab-rats that came in before being inventoried. But yet I have my doubts if I should present my findings to him.
I still have my doubts that he and most of the Dreadfish are sane. Would my ideas just make them shed more blood? Would they go even further in their brutality and attack innocent lives? These and other questions plagued me even now as I write. Yet I am relieved that some are sound of mind, even if they do not look it.
Such a case would be the second of the Special Ops., Sic. Though he does have terrible wounds that keep him wrapped up in bandages, I myself changing them once (couldn't eat that night) and his brutal in his attacks; he does follow these voices from his beliefs as his cause to be in Dreadfish. In a way he and I are alike, but at the same time much different like blood and oil; both liquids yet not able to mix together.
I still fear the day that High commander Ota will attack civilians, and do so in the bloodiest way. I'm just glad that Jenny feels the same way I do, otherwise I might have done something very stupid.

But on another note, I've been trying to figure out we are planning next. So I have been keeping tabs and information on whatever I here the higher ups say and do. Was almost caught once by the war chief. She slammed in into a wall and pinned me to it with her hand to my throat when she saw me peek out of door way while she was talking to one of mechanics about her suit. Fortunately she bought my story of just coming to ask for some prospect of making medical suits. Yue is defiantly one I wouldn't put pass her to kill a child out of the fun of it. Nor would she have no problem of killing someone for even thinking like I do and voice out there thoughts. That's was the day I put this lock on my journal and added a feature that if anything put the key I have should open it; the book would explode to keep my thoughts and plans a secret.

Dr. Zever shut and locked his Journal before putting it away and looked over the latest medical reports, since Leon was to busy drinking again and giving him the work. He groaned and adjusted his glasses and started to read over them, it was going to be a long night again.

That's awesome! You got Yue down perfectly! ::Clap::

I absolutely love seeing peoples' reactions to different things, like you responded to my comic. It's true, she yelled it out to the entire HQ. Very well done! I have to congratulate you on the first paragraph especially. I was very, very pleased that you caught both Yue and Ota's reactions. Keep it up!
