Thetis was Achilles' mother in the Illiad and beyond. Why I chose to draw her was probably because I needed to do a ceiling tile for extra credit about a book I read -I read the Illiad- and I was pondering how a sea nymph would appear.
I didn't have a pencil so I just went with a black gel-pen and took a whirl at it.
the bubbles are just a little much now that I think about it.
