This took a while, yes-yes. If you've ever seen Outlaw Star, you might say that this reminds you alot of the ending credits, and you're right. It wasn't inspired by it, but that's how it turned out; even the non-centered-ness of the eyes matches it.
I made this creature not too long ago, in a doodle during H. World Literature. The sky was alot prettier, but it blended too much with the ground, so I had to erase a good deal of the shading. D: It was quite tragic.
Oh well. Enjoy. :3 I absolutely adore this picture, but crits are always allowed and enjoyed.

But cha'. It's the title of one of the songs from Outlaw Star's OST. Woot. o: I posted the line-art with it, too, 'cause I'm all cool like that.

But I really love the sky. It's sort of emotionless and pretty.

Me like. I'd change one thing, which would be to move the horizon line higher. But that's it.
I wasn't reminded of Outlaw Star when I looked at this (shame, shame :( ), but when I read the description it's bam! Now that looks really familiar! Good one. Carry on!

Wow, I love the monochromatic style. Sepia toned stuff has always been so cool to me. I love the way you drew the SKY though. That's just so awesome.

The shading in the top version is also very nice. It makes it look much deeper. Alot more thoughtful, in a way.
