She who dances continues the tradition forward into her SEVENTH year!
This years Araikao prophecy dance seems to project confidence and certainty - she know where she's going, knows the steps to take and is well in control of her pace.She is moving forward in a sprightly stride, green for growth, vibrant with intent, and she's wearing diamonds on the soles of her shoes.
Shes fit, she's muscular, she's happy. Looks like its going to be a good year.
Of course I won't be certain until the end of the year and I can look back with the 2008 Araikao dancing on the threshold yet again.
The improvement in anatomy is splendid.
After doing a large piece for 2006 and not being fully satisfied with the way it turned out I reverted back to A4 and was delighted with the results.
This is the first time I have worked her soley in colour pencil and it has certainly paid off! This is also the first year that I have had two designs for Araikao and intended to do both. The sketch for this and the other are both visible under WIPS. Hopefully I will get the other version done soon.
