Concept designs for a tattoo commissioned by a friend of mine.

I intended a fair bit more purple in the tail - perhaps if I do another version I'll address that issue.

The background, again, compliments of Bushells Tea leaves. The painting a combination of watercolours and white gouache 6x8 inches

This tattoo design is so complex but it remains simple enough in small details in values, you can't help but get sucked into the artist's good uses of shape and value.
