Eternal Fires:Chapter Five
The dense fog and constant rains made the rest of the journey tough. Kanetsu was glad that he had rid himself of the other two, but yet something kept bugging him. Kanetsu stopped in his tracks, he had heard two men talking, he was close now. His thoughts turned towards what was in front of him. He had two choices, he could take down the two guards, which would bring suspicion of an intruder, or he could attempt to find a way to sneak in. He chose the latter of the two. He snuck up to the building and began to search for a way in. It didn't take long for him to find a sewer type tunnel that he could use to sneak in. He traversed the immerse network of tunnels for a while. The size of the tunnels, and the fact that it would be easy to get lost was not his worry, the smell was. It was the smell of human waste, but a smell he had only smelled on a battlefield of a battle that had lasted for weeks. The smell could bring even the toughest, battle hardened man to the brink of hurling. It was the smell of human decomposition. Kanetsu knew that, to accomplish his goal, he'd have to follow to the point of where the smell was coming from. Some time had passed before Kanetsu got his first clue to an exit of the tunnels.
"My beauty," a male's voice echoed "from what I hear you are the perfect specimen. Maybe you won't transform like the others. Now don't worry, this won't hurt on bit. Ahahahahahaha"
Kanetsu found what seemed like a trash shoot, and began to climb up it.
"AHHHHHHHH!" A female screamed.
Kanetsu leaped out of the shoot and what he saw amazed him. A labatory, though it was blood stained, as if mass murders occurred here. A man with a syringe in a blood soaked lab coat stood beside a table, on which, a beautiful young female laid fearing for her life. The man noticed Kanetsu and spoke
"Aw master must be in a good mood, he has sent me yet another subject for my experiment, but no, that sword must go first."
The man's hands began to change shape. They changed into some sort of claws, something a man shouldn't have. He charged at Kanetsu, but was stopped when Kanetsu's blade caught his claws.
"Foul beast, I know not what you've done in the past, but it stops here."
Kanetsu threw back the man-beast hybrid with his sword.
"If you think that will Sto....p....wha.....whe....did...you...cut... me"
A gash across the man's chest began to spout blood, soon another, and another. Quickly six gashes appeared on the man. Kanetsu began to sheath his blade
"Did you hear it too?" Kanetsu fully sheathed his blade and the man's body ripped apart.
"The sound of the Divine Wind."
Kanetsu walked up to the table.
"Stay away, don't come near me, I don't want to die."
"Miss, its okay, I'm not hear to harm you, I'm here to rescue you."
"Save me? Did...did Darius send you?"
"So then, you are Karin. Yes Lilth and Darius sent me. They're outside of this facility waiting for me to return. But before that, I must destroy this place. Are you strong enough to walk?"
She got up from the table and proceeded to pick up quite a few knives.
"Yes, and I may be able to provide assistance to you."
