This is my first real attempt at a chibi style. Mitten hands! Who doesn't love those. It took a lot of erasing to get the head size right. I'm still not happy with her right foot, but ah well. Her left foot is cute. I also like how my scanner scanned her tights on her left leg. Her hair scanned nicely as well. The skirt...not so much. Ah well.
I tried to go with bright colors, shaded with a blue. I especially like how this turned out on the green and her hair. The skin sort of turned out eh... Ah well, I just need to practice more with that. It's so much easier to blend colors in Painter.
Sketched, inked, and colored at work on sketchbook paper with mechanical pencil, microns, and prismacolor colored pencils.
Any tips on using colored pencils or a better way of inking, please let me know!

She's very cute, you did a nice job on the coloring as well :3 Hmm, tips as far as coloring goes: one big thing with coloring is that you should try your best to 1) stay inside the lines and 2) try to move the pencil in the same direction throughout the whole part that your coloring. Like instead of going diagnal, up and down, left and right for just one part of a drawing (like a girls t-shirt or w/e) just go in one direction like diagnal. You did go in different directions with this one, but at the same time its not like crazy or anything so it doesn't look bad either. Hmm you may want to work on the skin tones (what kind of colored pencils did you use? Crayola? Prismacolors?). I use prismacolors when I'm using colored pencils and for skin tones I generally use peach, orange, light crimson red, a darker red (red generally looks alot better than a brown colored pencil would) and white, maybe a few other colors ^^' *haven't used color pencil in awhile* if you want to know what kind of effect those colors give off here's one of my piece's to show the skin tone type: http://www.sheezyart.com/view/760357/ Of course the paper type has alot to do with it, brown recycled paper is a wonderful thing to use with colored pencils (I don't get this kind of effect when I try coloring it like this on white paper) I can guarantee it'll make anything you color look really good! Anyways I'll end this before it gets too long ^^', but I hope that'll help you out a little, if you have any other questions feel free to ask :3
