Gargoyles come in two different breeds. There are the rarer humaniod ones (like ), and then there are the more common Animalia gargoyles; these creatures are the ones most associated with gargoyles as a breed, taking the form of all manner of chimerical combinations of man and beast (and possibly even plant). Garry, having spent much of his life in a cathedral in London, was somehow involved in the summoning of a massively powerful Earth spirt by an undergound cult, serving as the focus for the spirit to manifest around; the ritual was botched however, and Garry was thrown into a temporal rift that transported him to the world of Dara-Arux, where he made friends with a certain young dragoness...
Personalitywise, Garry is rather like a large Doberman or Great Dane; loud, boisterous, and incredibly silly at times. He is however, incredibly loyal to his friends, especially to Shyria; this loyalty only increases during times of extreme danger, when he may still be possesed by the same spirit whose attempted summoning had sent him to his new home in the first place. When possessed, he acquires the vast knowledge, wisdom, and strength common to an Earth spirit, though he quickly fades back to his normal, simpleminded self as soon as the spirit departs.
Powers: As a gargoyle, Garry can naturally turn himself into a stone likeness of himself when resting or to lure unsuspecting pigeons into his grasp (an illusion which is usually broken as soon as he goes tearing off after the pigeon playfully shouting "PEEGEY!!! PEEGEY!!!"). Garry is also more or less invulnerable to physical pain, responding to a barrage of gunfire as "tickley", and also possesses great strength; however, the inteligence to properly use that strength is lost on him, and Garry often gets into a great deal of trouble because of it. His intentions are always well-meaning though.
When possessed by the Earth spirit, Garry's personality suddenly becomes much more serious and pragmatic, his voice reflecting that of an aged general rather than an overgrown Great Dane puppy. He also becomes a more formidable fighting force, since he now has the inteligence to complement his natural strength, as well as limited control over earth, rock, and mud (this power disappears after the spirit departs). Though sometimes appearing stotic and unmoving, the possessed Garry still remembers his devotion to his compainions, and will always try and aid them when the need arises.

Hard to believe i mostly made all of that up as I went along, huh? o.=.0 Anyways, this is my loveable pet gargoyle Garry, finally realized in color. He likes everything about pigeons; chasing them, eating them, squishing them, and so on. Just dont think about doing anything "funny" to his friends while he's around. Earth spirits don't take kindly to threats against their hosts...
