YES, I made this entirely from a hunk of metal to this pendant.
Process: Saw out general shape by hand, very very carefully. Sand and file. Saw tubing for hinges. Cut and file wire for hinges. Solder pieces together and create bezel. Create and solder bail. Set stone (pua shell).
I'm not done yet with it-- It still needs a helluva lot of cleaning up, but this was the only day I could smuggle it away from my teacher.
