First prize for a contest I held earlier this year (yup, I'm slow but I get there in the end! Still a couple more prizes to do after this).
So, first prize and the bonus graphics tablet went to Liquidd for his quite frankly jaw-dropping entry.
He asked if I could draw Barue, a Dragon Mage - one of the characters from his Sorche novel - in dragon form. And thusly I did

The colours are slightly off since his theme's kinda with the violets and purples but I'd taken inspiration from Barue's headgear and gone gung-ho with the silver. Thankfully Liquidd still approved.
As for methods and materials... Barue himself I painted using indian ink, water-soluble pencils and white gel pen. I scanned and tidied up in Photoshop then printed him out and used my airbrush to add the background.

I love the colour scheme, they blend together perfectly. : D And you actual drew the wings so it looks like it can actually support the dragon when flying ._.
