Wake up on your bed
With tears in your eyes
The screaming's still in your head
As you curl in your covers and hope to die
The angel of sleep flies across the seas
She seeks the boy in the corner shaking
And takes him underneath her wings
Holds him tight to show she won't leave him alone
Everything will be alright
Just close your eyes
It was just a dream
That's all it'll ever be
What we fear in the day
May not be the same
As what we fear in the night
Our silly childish frights
Before we go to bed
Burglars and monsters
Dance in our heads
Never expecting those words
Yet we'll hear them when our eyes our closed
No one's there to save you, you're all alone
Everything will be alright
Just close your eyes
It was just a dream

To rescue you from
Every pain every tear
Every hate every fear
I fall asleep

As if it were you next to me

hey, really good poem, I liked the rytmh and I think who ever you wrote it to will be happy, and maybe not afraid any more... it was also well written, you have a good vocabulary
