It's an old song...
It's an old song. They don't sing it anymore.
It was a time when they would open the door.
But now it's gone. They don't sing it anymore.
It was a time when they spoke of the war.
The time had passed into the evening,
A star shone upon their battle,
Dreams lifted into moonlight,
As the darkness called out their name...
It's an old song. They don't sing it anymore.
It was a time when they fought in the war.
It's an old song. They don't sing it anymore.
It was a time when life was so much more.

Love the repetitive lines. Even though the words are the same, the feel is a bit different each time the lines are used becuse of the lines around them. And it's very true, too. There are so many old songs that we just don't sing any more because they don't fit our context.
