incomplete lineart of selena and ... he's not named yet. okay the deal here is...he's an enchanter/mesmer (if you compare it to guildwars or eq) type caster. he's in love with selena, but doesn't think he's worthy of her because he's not physically strong. he cannot protect her like a stronger man, a warrior, could. he hates himself and curses his powers for this, even though he doesn't realize that he could in fact protect her. keeping her safe is not completely dependant on physical strength.
